Professor Chems Eddine CHITOUR : Minister of Energy Transition and Renewable Energy

Emeritus professor, he is an engineer of the polytechnic school of Algiers and of the Algerian Petroleum Institute of Dar El Beida, Doctor and Engineer from the University of Algiers and Doctor of Science from Jean Monnet University. He is professor of surface physiochemistry, refining, thermodynamics and oil economics. He was Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research from January 2020 to June 2020, and since then Minister of Energy Transition and Renewable Energy. He is also an Algerian scholar, researcher and author. He published several articles and books on energy, sustainable development and geopolitics. For over twenty-five years, he has organized an Energy Day on April 16 of each year (Youm el ‘ilm) at the Polytechnic school of Algiers.
